Summary: In Season Three of this provocative drama, Red Rock Mountain Medical has taken over Chastain Memorial Hospital, bringing with it a powerful- and ruthless- neurosurgeon, Dr. Marrett Cain (Morris Chestnut), causing Chastain's doctors to fight even harder against the corrupting influence of money in healthcare. Well aware of the dangerous deal he struck to get Chastain out of financial crisis, Dr. Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) initially turns a blind eye to the new mantra of profits over patients. But before too long, Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) confronts the problem head-on as a whistleblower, which threatens everything he holds dear. Meanwhile Nicolette Nevin (Emily VanCamp) attempts to recover from a devastating personal loss by throwing herself into her work for the uninsured, and Dr. Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) rotates out of the ER, gaining power of his own. Talented surgeon, Dr. Mina Okafor (Shaunette Rennee Wilson), finds herself supporting her mentor Dr. AJ Austin (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) as he navigates a relationship with his complicated biological family. And while Dr. Cain takes the hospital by storm, Dr. Kitt Voss (Jane Leeves) realizes that Cain's charm hides a medical demon- and standing against him could have serious consequences.
